ALF Oregon: Rooted in Relationship (Video)
We're excited to share this video featuring four leaders from ALF Oregon Class 42. It originally aired during our in-person Reunion on May 20th.
Candace Avalos (ED of Verde) is joined by Edith Quiroz (ED of El Programa Hispano), Angela Uherbelau (Founder of Oregon Kids Read), and Lakeitha Elliott (ED of the Gordly Burch Center for Black Leadership and Civic Engagement) for a conversation about the ALF Oregon Fellows Program, the women of color caucus that formed within the class, and the power of rooted, collaborative relationships as an antidote to transactional leadership.

To Candace, Lakeitha, Edith, and Angela: Thank you for sharing so openly about the power of your ALF relationships. ALF Oregon is deeply invested in the vision you hold for your communities and we are grateful to walk alongside you.
And to you, Senior Fellows: Please join us as we fundraise and invest in the future of ALF relationships. Help us fulfill our long-term commitment to support and resource leaders from Oregon’s most impacted communities.
If we are to enact lasting and positive change in Oregon, it will only happen when everyone, regardless of geography, identity, affluence, or political affiliation, has a seat at the table. We're calling on the Senior Fellow Network to support this work. Join us in giving back to ALF what ALF has given to us.
